The 2018 IGBR Spring Conference in New Orleans was a great success! We had 60 registrants with presenters from several countries, including Kuwait, New Zealand and Nigeria, as well as across the U.S. We have received a great deal of positive feedback from the participants at the conference, and would like to say thank you to all of those who participated. As those who have attended an IGBR meeting can attest, we are meeting our goal of being the home of collegial and supportive scholarly conferences. I invite you to please take a moment to leave a comment on this blog about your experience at this, or any other, IGBR conference. There are a lot of people who have been considering attending a conference, but who want to know what it’s like.

As with all of the IGBR conferences, full papers undergo a separate double-blind review and the top ranked papers are chosen to receive Distinguished Research Awards. Below you will see a list of award winners as well as pictures from the conference. Congratulations on your achievement and thank you for sharing your work with us!

We are now focused on future conferences, including next month’s UK conference. Please check the conference call page for more information. We have also created a printable conference call page (click here to download the PDF) and encourage you to distribute it to your colleagues.

GREAT conference! Thank you for coming to New Orleans to present your work. I am always impressed with the quality of many of the papers presented. It is also great to meet many new people from across the country and around the world, as well as to re-connect with friends and colleagues whom I have known for years. I look forward to seeing you all again at a future IGBR conference!
